The landscape of Indian digital streaming is about to get significantly darker and more intense this summer. Amazon Prime Video has officially announced the premiere date for its highly anticipated investigative drama series, Raakh. Scheduled to hit the streaming platform on June 12, the crime thriller promises to take audiences on a visceral journey into the deepest, darkest corners of the human psyche. Fronted by the critically acclaimed Ali Fazal, alongside stellar talents Sonali Bendre and Aamir Bashir, Raakh is gearing up to be one of the most talked-about streaming events of the year.

With Raakh, Roy returns to his old stomping grounds—Amazon Prime Video—to deliver what looks to be an equally uncompromising look at systemic decay and individual trauma. Roy serves as an executive producer and shares directing duties with Anusha Nandakumar, whose previous credits include co-directing the MX Original series Pandu. Nandakumar also pulls double duty by spearheading the writing team alongside Sandeep Saket, the acclaimed writer behind the critically lauded survival drama Kaala Pani. The sharp, hard-hitting dialogue has been penned by Ayush Trivedi.
