BHUBANESWAR: According to newly appointed municipal commissioner Chanchal Rana, the BMC is planning to put in place a clear strategy to deal with the city’s waterlogging problem in addition to giving cleanliness and sanitation top priority in order to raise the state capital’s ranking in the Swachh Survekshan.

In order to solve the civic issues, field visit reports would be reviewed, according to Rana, who took over as the BMC commissioner for the day. “The implementation of various citizen-friendly programs and the prompt resolution of registered grievances will be prioritised.” The complaints received via various methods will be examined critically, and the issues will be given priority in the actions that follow,” he continued.

Given that BMC is the state’s largest urban local body (ULB), the government intends to further improve the city’s accessibility for its citizens. Rana uttered those words. For the city’s overall growth, the BMC commissioner asked all parties involved for cooperation. He also went to a Housing and Urban Development department meeting that day.
